Alameda County authorities are still investigating a motive in an off-duty deputy's double-fatal shooting of a married couple in Dublin. The 24-year-old suspect turned himself in after fleeing and is now sitting in Santa Rita jail.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office said Williams had been working at the Oakland courthouse for a year and officials said he had an"exemplary record."
"Everything that has been reported to us would indicate that he was a very good candidate for law enforcement that somewhere in the last several months of his life, some significant events happened that led up to this moment," explained Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lt. Ray Kelly.
