The Alabama Department of Labor says the job market appears to be rebounding.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - As you are driving down the road you probably noticed more hiring signs. The Alabama Department of Labor says that’s because the job market appears to be rebounding.
“It’s really a job seeker’s market right now. Employers are having to be extremely competitive with their salaries and benefits packages because everybody’s looking for the same workers,” said Tara Hutchinson with the Alabama Department of Labor.“The most popular jobs that we’re tracking through our HWOL data program, which is published monthly, continue to be those retail supervisors and registered nurses. Truck drivers also are usually in the top numbers there,” said Hutchinson.
