The old record, by Vestavia Hills’ Walter Thomas in 2016, was 50-00.5.Senior Crawford West of Vestavia Hills won the 1,600-meter race at 4:56.56.Mountain Brook’s Reagan Riley sparked the Spartans’ strong showing in the 1,600 meters with a 4:51.82 finish ahead of teammates Lucy Benton and Hunter Anderson .
