WATCH: San Diego police are holding a news conference to discuss a police shooting in Little Italy.
Law-enforcement officers were involved in a shooting and a K9 officer was injured in Little Italy on Thursday, according to San Diego police.Deputies were serving a warrant on a woman at the Aqua Vista condo complex, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, when the woman refused to come out and deputies asked for assistance from the K9 handlers from SDPD.
San Diego police confirmed to NBC 7 that there had been a shooting, but no other details were released. "Yeah, I'm just a little shocked," building resident Casey Egan told NBC 7."This must've been happening for at least an hour or so. We haven’t heard anything. We are right below the unit it happened in, and, so, yeah, I'm just a little taken aback now, for sure."during the incident, which drew a large police response.
