For the latest instalment of Adele’s “Weekends” concert series in Las Vegas, Adele wore a polka dot Nina Ricci dress created by Harris Reed.
It’s been quite the year for Harris when it comes to dressing his idols. The CSM graduate was instrumental in shaping Beyoncé’s club kid transformation, lending Bey his signature platform boots, feathered headdresses and draped demi-couture for her turn on British– an experience he says was extremely validating as an artist.
“As a young queer kid who came out in quite a conservative environment, hers is the music I’d play on the bus to school, when I was alone in the playground and eating my lunch by myself, dreaming of more of a glittering, romantic, fabulous world,” he said at the time. Now, young dreamers will be watching the designer’s shows and seeing his world as a window of possibility. In terms of star power, there’s no denying that Harris Reed has it.
