A USDA commission has released its first report with more than 30 recommendations on how to bring racial equity to farming.

"We didn't want this set of interim recommendations to look like things we've seen in previous reports," Bronaugh said at the unveiling of the document Tuesday morning."We wanted to get at systemic change." Reduce the number of years a farmer should have been farming in order to participate in conservation programs;
Support legislation that removes restrictions on food stamp eligibility such as on Tribal reservations, based on immigration status, or bans on criminal records;
