2000s classic ‘Snow Day’ is getting remade as a musical:
a movie musical adaptation of the 2000 film of the same name. Filming has commenced in Montreal, and the finished product is expected to arrive onThe new film will follow the plot of the original, which centers on siblings Hal and Natalie Brandston during a surprise cancelled school day following a whiteout. Hal takes the opportunity to approach his crush Claire Bonner , while Natalie tries to keep the Snowplowman from clearing away the snow so the fun can continue the following day.
While the original film wasn’t loved by critics, it wound up being a box office success. Apparently, Nickelodeon sees potential in bringing back for new audiences, enlisting Michael Lembeck to direct the new flick. Samantha Martin is tackling the original music for the movie. Details of the cast have not been announced yet.
