The Saskatchewan Rattlers survived a wild ending and advanced to the CEBL quarterfinal with a Thursday\u002Dnight win over Edmonton.

Bandoo says he waited for the crowd reaction, which was plenty loud: Carr hit two free throws in front of a home throng Thursday night, giving the Rattlers a 94-91 Elam ending victory in their one-game, sudden-death playoff game with the defending-champion Edmonton Stingers.

His trip to the line was controversial: Edmonton’s Jordan Baker fouled him, not knowing it would place the Rattlers into bonus and send them to the line. There was a discrepancy between the scoreboard and the scoresheet, but the latter was deemed correct and the Stingers’ protests fell on deaf ears. Carr got his chance to win the game with two final shots.

Bandoo finished with 22 points and seven rebounds for the Rattlers, and Carr collected 20 points and seven boards. Bruce Massey, a 2019 Rattlers standout who rejoined the team prior to this year’s playoff run, scored eight points before leaving in the opening half with an injury that forced him to take the rest of the night off.
