.IChotiner speaks with the head of a group that sued U.C. Berkeley for violating the California Environmental Quality Act—a law meant to protect the environment that has increasingly been used to stop new housing from being built in California.

Earlier this year, the California State Supreme Court issued a ruling that would have forced the University of California, Berkeley, to freeze its admissions. Last month, Governor Gavin Newsom signed a law overriding the decision.
