Deputies said the relative saw the child was reported missing on TV and called to let authorities know he was safe.
Authorities received reports about a 2018 black Jeep Cherokee Latitude that was stolen at a gas station located at 22523 Imperial Valley around 5:05 a.m. When deputies arrived, they were told the owner of the vehicle went inside the gas station to grab coffee when two men possibly in their 20′s jumped out of a red Kia Optima, got into the Jeep, and took off.
Investigators said they were told that 6-month-old Noah Gray was in the back seat at the time the vehicle was taken. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the Jeep was found in the 16400 block of Eton Brook Lane, but Noah remained unaccounted for. Investigators said they received the call from the relative sometime after.Right now, deputies are investigating if the baby was ever in the vehicle at the time that it was reported stolen.
