The 37E Fire burning north of Lyons is now fully contained, officials reported Sunday evening
Residents on Vision Way, Dakota Ridge Road, Chimney Hollow Road, Moss Rock Drive, and those south and east of County Road 37E were allowed to return home after officials lifted the mandatory evacuation restrictions Saturday afternoon.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office said Saturday evening crews will monitor the fire overnight and continue work in the morning. Although all evacuations have been lifted, fire officials are cautioning residents to be ready to evacuate again if conditions change. The wildfire burning in the area of Blue Mountain in Larimer County has charred 114-acres—not the 300 acres originally estimated. Better aerial mapping provided a more accurate number, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said.Roughly 100 personnel from multiple agencies are battling the blaze. Two single-engine air tankers were providing aerial support on the fire Friday. Officials said favorable weather Saturday helped crews make good progress. The fire did not grow overnight.
