so I pre-ordered this book, and it is even better than I expected. The format is really cool – it reminds me of an old textbook, but so much prettier! Every page is full of information but it's presented in a crisp graphic and visually approachable way, so it never overwhelms. The full-bleed silkscreened illustrations are so beautiful and a refreshing change from a lot of contemporary picture books that look computer-drafted. I bought this for my three-year-old's upcoming birthday but it would work for a wide range of ages and I can definitely see it being treasured for a long time.
