A 24-year-old woman is dead and a 31-year-old man injured in separate shootings in Akron in less than 24 hours.AKRON, Ohio – Akron police are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old woman along with the separate shooting of a 31-year-old man this weekend.
Though she was transported to a local hospital, emergency responders pronounced her dead shortly after she arrived. Her name has not been released pending notification of family. The fatal shooting came less than 24 hours after a 31-year-old man was taken to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital around 11 a.m. on Saturday with a gunshot wound to the back. Officials said the shooting happened near the 300 block of West Crosier Avenue just moment prior.
