The countdown for the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards has begun. The ceremony will take place Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Watsco Center in Miami. Telemundo and Billboard announced the finalists for this year’s ceremony, with Bad Bunny leading with 23 nods, including artist of the year and tour of the year. Karol G is a 15-time finalist in categories that include artist of the year and song of the year, thanks to her song “Mamiii” with Becky G, who has 11 nods.
Farruko earned 11 nods, while Rauw Alejandro is up for 10 awards. Aventura dominates the tropical categories with seven nods. Eslabon Armado, who leads the Regional Mexican category, surprises with six nods, including Mexican artist of the year.
