Drew Hassenbein and Ethan Falkowitz, a pair of 14-year-old tennis prodigies were killed in a horrifying late-night crash allegedly caused by a wrong-way drunk driver.

The driver who killed two 14-year-olds in a wrong-way crash has been hit with a DWI. FOX 5 NY's Jodi Goldberg has more.A tennis match victory ended in tragedy on Wednesday night after a wrong way alleged drunk driver behind the wheel of a pickup truck catastrophically collided with a car killing two teenagers.

"Probably one of the most catastrophic scenes I’ve seen in a long time - the debris field - it’s almost like a car exploded," said Det. Capt. Stephen Fitzpatrick with the Nassau County Police Department. "He was saying he was coming from a birthday party," Fitzpatrick said. "He thought he was in New Jersey. He was swerving in and out of lanes and the kids had nowhere to go."
