UPDATE: Police were investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving an off-duty NYPD officer in the Soundview section of the Bronx on Wednesday. ShoshBedrosian went to the scene at 172nd Street and Fteley Avenue.

Investigators say the father shot the son with the son's service weapon. They are working to piece together the series of events that led up to the incident."I feel so bad about Alex because I know him. That's sad. It's crazy," said a man named Omar, who works at a bodega nearby."Of course! Everyone is worried sick here because we are all good people. We are good people and it is unfortunate what happened. We are worried," a neighbor said.
"Oh no. No, I did not hear any gunshots. I only heard the screams --- 'Why!!!!' and that's it," one neighbor said through a translator.
