Sugar Land police responded to a domestic violence shooting that ended with two people dead late Sunday.Two people were dead after a man shot his girlfriend late Sunday before barricading himself in a Sugar Land home that soon caught fire, officials said. By the time officers got into the home, the man also was dead.
The man then began firing at the officer, who returned fire as he got out of his patrol car, Davis said. The man then fled into the home. As emergency responders were helping her, they smelled smoke and soon saw flames coming from the building, Davis said. Firefighters and police waited for supplies before making entry into the home.
