Newly unearthed archive images of life in 1960s Salford offer a window into the past.saw a lot of change, when an urban clearance as it was known saw families moved out of the area and people's homes destroyed.
The clearance took place as the council purchased congested streets of old and decaying houses, which were turning into slums.
