I must confess, I really didn't like Dune.
"I love Jake Gyllenhaal – I genuinely think he's an incredible actor and deserves a lot more credit – butturned into an entirely different movie than what was promoted in the trailer.
Instead of a crime drama about a 911 operator's distressing call, the real plot was about a cop who killed someone while on the job and tried to cover it up. The ending ultimately treats the cop as a hero for finally wanting to come clean and reveal the truth about what really happened, which is super upsetting, and there was also a plotline about how people struggling with mental illness are 'dangerous,' so, yeah, pass.
