, released this month, gives spirit lovers a new reason to visit local, craft distilleries. Collecting passport stamps from each of the 14 distilleries by October 1 earns an invitation to the Distillers Ball on November 25. Passports can be picked up at participating distilleries.
The ball is a free, black-tie masquerade event that offers spirits, signature cocktails, food, entertainment, music and sponsor displays. It will be held at Blue Heron Event Center, 3227 Blue Heron Trace, Medina. “This is an opportunity for people to try a craft spirit,” says Kevin Suttman, owner of Seven Brothers Distilling in Harpersfield Township. “Most people have been exposed to the big guys. We want people to be a bit more adventurous.”
“The craft industry has created a lot of innovation,” he says. “I love introducing people to those innovative products. That’s true for the other distilleries as well. You can find unique spirits. We’re not cloning the products of the big guys.”Stamps can be collected without a purchase.
