Each week, North Texas prides itself on hosting concerts for a wide variety of genres, and this week, it really is all over the place with roots rock, R&B, indie pop, country comedy, metalcore and so on.

A Seattle band that signed with the Sub Pop record label the year after Nirvana left it, Sunny Day Real Estate benefited from the attention its hometown received, making appearances on MTV's late-night, alternative music program.
