One person has reportedly been shot following a home invasion in the Veranda subdivision in Richmond, according to officials.A suspect has been shot after an attempted to break in at a home in a Richmond subdivision on Saturday evening, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said.According to sheriff deputies, the suspect was flown to the hospital, where their condition is unknown. Officials did not elaborate on who the suspect was reportedly shot by.
Officials said the surronding area is safe, but ask residents to remain aware as the investigation continues. "Unfortunately, crime is on the rise, so we always have to be very vigilant, and careful and aware of our surroundings at all times," Michelle Domengoni with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said.
