While Robby has always had Kenny's best interests at heart, a different Miyagi Do character would be a better mentor for the young Cobra Kai member.

Kenny deserves a shot at redemption in Cobra Kai season 6, and Robby may not be the only Miyagi Do character who can help him. When he first appeared in Cobra Kai season 4 as a new student at West Valley Middle School, Kenny was the prime bullying target for Anthony LaRusso and his friends. However, Kenny later flipped his script but training karate under Robby's guidance and using martial skills to get his bullies suspended from school.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Cobra Kai season 5 marks the inception of Kenny's villain arc, where he switches roles with Anthony and becomes his bully. Under Terry Silver's guidance, he starts falling deeper into this rabbit hole and even uses Silver's illegal "Silver Bullet" move to overpower Hawk in the Sekai Taikai tryouts.

Hawk has come a long way since then and has learned to blend the teachings of Cobra Kai with Mr Miyagi's defensive karate style. Given how, Kenny had a similar karate journey and only turned into Cobra Kai's season 5 antagonist because of Silver's influence, Hawk may be the only one who can truly understand what he is going through.

Hawk's Cobra Kai Season 5 Defeat Proves He Should Guide Kenny Hawk loses to Kenny during the Sekai Taikai tryouts but owns up to his defeat instead of getting infuriated by it. Even when Kyler Park tries mocking him by calling him "faux-hawk" in Cobra Kai season 5's ending showdown, Hawk does not let the insult get inside his head. His loss against Kenny proves he is not the same ruthless Cobra Kai fighter who mindlessly picked fights with anyone who bothered him.

However, it perfectly represents Mr Miyagi's philosophy: "If karate is used to defend honour, defend life, karate means something. If karate used to defend plastic metal trophies, karate no mean nothing." Season 5's Hawk understands that karate is a lot more than winning tournaments and, therefore, avoids falling as low as Kenny.
